The longer building and structural materials are exposed to water over time the more moisture penetrates the material deeply. Meaning the more water the materials absorb the more time, effort and expense is required to dry the materials. Therefore, the first hours of a loss are the most important to mitigate the damage that has occurred. During the inspection Shur-Dry will moisture map the affected areas and set up drying equipment such as dehumidifiers, air movers and in some cases air scrubbers needed to control the environment, preventing secondary damage. Prior to any demolition being done Shur-Dry will provide a proposal for the scope of work and will need testing results per AQMD regulations. Once results have been received and the scope of work has been approved, Shur-Dry shall remove the affected areas under a containment and will clean and abrade as needed.  Common areas where losses occur are where the supply lines and drain lines are located. Such as the Bathrooms, Kitchens, HVAC Closet and Laundry Rooms. 

Suffering a fire loss can often feel overwhelming and inconvenient due to the damage that often occurs when a fire starts in a home, apartment or commercial building. Soot, Smoke, Water Damage, and Security of the premises are often things one las thinks about when a fire occurs. Once the first responders have put out the fire and have released the sight. Shur-dry can assist with securing the premises by boarding up, setting up temporary fencing and lighting.  It is important to reach out to your insurance to submit a claim regarding the loss. Once the proposals have been approved Shu-dry can assist with the recovery process regarding content manipulation, water mitigation, soot removal, smoke damage and reconstruction.
